My Journey

Does my story sound familiar?

My path to wellness has been anything but linear.


I studied international agricultural development and rural sociology and spent nearly two decades as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development, living and working across the globe. These experiences shaped who I am—but they also came with their challenges.


Years of international travel exposed me to more than just new cultures and perspectives. Along the way, I encountered my fair share of bacteria, parasites, and environmental stressors. While I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything, they took a toll on my health—particularly my gut.


Over the years, I navigated a long list of digestive and autoimmune challenges, including irritable bowel syndrome, giardia, SIBO (twice), Candida, and other ongoing gastrointestinal issues. Like many, I tried to “fix” them all individually through diets, supplements, and protocols—often feeling like I was chasing answers without ever quite finding them.


For a long time, I felt alone in my experience. Each morning started with the same question: What can I eat today that won’t make me feel worse? Food became stressful. The constant mental noise around eating—what to eat, what to avoid, how I would feel afterward—became overwhelming and, at times, all-consuming.


It wasn’t one single breakthrough that changed things for me. It was a gradual shift—one that involved not just what I ate, but how I lived. I began to understand the deeper connection between nutrition, stress, mindset, and overall well-being. Healing, for me, came from a combination of changes: my relationship with food, my stress levels, my emotional health, and my understanding of how my body responds to what I put into it. That journey led me here.


While my career with USAID did not end exactly as I had planned, my next chapter had been quietly taking shape for years. I had long felt called to become a health and nutrition coach—someone who could support others navigating similar challenges with empathy, practicality, and encouragement.


Today, through inVigor Wellness, I work with women who are experiencing many of the same struggles I once faced. I share my story not because it is a blueprint, but because it is proof that change is possible.


Your path to wellness is uniquely your own. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. But you are not alone—and you do not have to figure it out by yourself. You already have the strength to create meaningful change. My role is to help guide, support, and encourage you as you find what works best for you.
